St Bartholomews Church

Holy Panton !

Look at this contrast of the old and the new in Saint Bartholomew' Church in the Czech Republic. Such a simple installation.

When contrasted with the old they are brilliant. Especially with a cross punched out of the back -

I am not sure Verner Panton had thought of this one !

The colour reminds me of this installation that challenges our spatial perception.. the artist's name i can not remember..

The Scandinavia Show - Fashion

On 9-10 October 2010, Wild Swans will host a fashion Show at London' Olympia, introducing the very best of Scandinavian fashion to the UK audience.


Scandinavians have been recognized as frontrunners in the field of furniture and interior design for years, but in the fashion world they have been taking baby steps until quite recently, when things really started happening. The world finally took notice of the talent that had been brewing in the North for a long time.


The first Wild Swans shop opened in 2006.

Wild Swans have opened 3 shops in 3 years. In Chiswick, Islington and then Mill Hill. This indicates a distinctly growing demand for Scandinavian designer brands in the UK.


Wild Swans will be at the Scandinavia Show.

A Temporary Dining Experience

We visited the temporary restaurant overlooking London's olympic village, on the roof of Westfield East.

An un-ceremonius entrance takes you to the lift up to the roof,

You walk across the roof to the entrance portal.

The white fingers of the structure point down to one central point/ drain. Clever.

It is as it is.. Temporary, built out of scaffold pipes and boards, with a thin white translucent skin + roof and luxe-portacabins for loos.. Built to last for three weeks.

We were greeted by Gwendolyn, our hostess for the evening.
