Facebook - Global Map
This map is a visualisation of where people live relative to their Facebook friends. Each line connects cities with pairs of friends. The brighter the line, the more friends between those cities.
The lines represent a surprisingly detailed map of the world. Not only are continents visible, certain international borders are apparent as well.

The lines do not represent coasts or rivers or political borders, but real human relationships. Large chunks of the world are missing, such as China and central Africa, where Facebook has little presence.

Twenty 8 Twelve
Although Sienna Miller has her own clothing label Twenty8Twelve with her sister, she isn't often seen wearing their jeans.
Until recently that is, last week she was snapped in a pair of Twenty8Twelve jeans leaving the Soho Hotel in London wearing a great looking pair of skinny jeans from her own collection.

The Panton Chair is a design classic.Verner Panton created it back in 1960, and with the assistance of Vitra developed a version ready for series production (1967). It was the very first fully plastic chair made from a single section. Not until today was it possible to produce it in line with Panton’s original idea, from consistently dyed, tough plastic with a matt surface.

Danish Pavilion - Shanghai Expo 2010
The Danish Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo encourages the use of pedal power and walking as sustainable methods of transportation, giving visitors a chance to experience Danish city life, the city bike, the harbor bath, the nature playground and an ecological picnic.
Both Shanghai and Copenhagen are harbor cities. But in Denmark the polluted harbor activities have been replaced by harbor parks and cultural institutions, and the water is so clean that you can swim in it.
'A piece of Copenhagen’s bicycle track, tied as a knot … City bikes located at the roof scape, offer visitors a chance to experience the Danish urban way. Thus, when you arrive at Expo, you visit Denmark, get a bike and explore the rest of the world'. Bike paths are paved throughout the structure with the same light blue surface used on Danish cycle paths.
H.C Andersen’s Little Mermaid sits at the base of the pavilion. While the Little Mermaid is in Shanghai, her usual location in Copenhagen will be occupied by the works of three leading Chinese artists. The artist will take turns in presenting their personal interpretation of the sculpture.
